Youth Leadership

ACC Youth Camp seeks to equip 60 local youth, ages 13-19, to serve their community, encourage youth to live outside of the ordinary, and expand leadership skills through hands-on learning, service projects, relevant motivational speakers and extraordinary challenges.

Team building activity: Teens are challenged through games, puzzles, and scenarios to think critically and work cohesively toward a solution.

Outside the Box: Teens divide into small groups to discuss and digest the speaker’s message and how it’s applicable to their everyday life.

Loving your neighbors, connecting your community: Teens will visit Crest Park Nursing Home; clean up trash in neighborhoods, provide lawn care for the elderly, volunteer at Grace Food Pantry and other community-focused services.

Fighting Obesity: Teens are encouraged to fight the statistics through outdoor activities and physical fitness including football, volleyball, and swimming.

Leadership Development: Teens participate in leadership development through hands-on training, real life scenarios, a field trip to Memphis Bridges Learning Center and Kids Across America, located in Missouri.
